PLAYER GROUPING

Instructional hockey is a 18 week, two tiered program. The grouping process will take place on the first day of the program (Saturday, October 18th) beginning at 9am. The first day all participants convene on ice at the same time. Coaches will observe skating skills and will group participants according to skill level. As the children leave the ice they will meet up with parents to receive colored shirts and to formally be assigned to their group. The following are the two tiers of instructional hockey:

1. Orange/Blue Shirts: Advanced beginner skaters with need to fine tune various skating and hockey skills. Generally participants have already spent 1 year in the instructional program. (Saturday’s 9:00AM)

2. Yellow/Red Shirts: Very beginner hockey players who need to focus on building skating skills and basic introduction to hockey. (Saturday’s 9:50AM)
