Youth hockey program, Arlington MA

                       MISSION STATEMENT

To teach the fundamentals of hockey and to develop beginner level hockey players by implementing creativity in both scrimmages (Shinny) and structured practices.  Shinny scrimmages are played 4 on 4 (1/2 ice) which will enhance the skill development of our players through increased touches of the puck.  This concept will not only foster creativity but will also encourage our players to make better decisions on the ice.  This new direction will ensure that EVERY player will participate in a practice and scrimmage each week.  There will be no BYE weeks.

The program will concentrate on the following areas:

  • Having FUN
  • Building Self- Esteem
  • Teamwork
  • Good Sportsmanship
  • Skating
  • Shooting
  • Passing
  • Increase touches of the puck

  • Helmet with mask
  • Mouthpiece
  • Neck Guard
  • Hockey stick
  • Hockey gloves
  • Elbow & Shoulder pads
  • Shin pads
  • Hockey pants

The In- House hockey program is a 20 week program that will focus less on the outcome of the game and more on player development in preparation for travel hockey.  The team selection process will focus on parity to ensure players are challenged at their skill level.
